theatre Korzo / Ontwerpwerk multidisciplinary design

Korzo is a contemporary dance theatre in The Hague. The organisation has just moved back into a completely refurbished building and has re-launched with a new visual identity by Maarten Evenhuis. The request presented to Ontwerpwerk by Korzo was to design a website based on the graphic house style. The geometric visual language is embedded in the website by way of transparent colour fields that sit on top of screen-filling images. The adventure that is Korzo actually already begins on the home page. Moving fields in the logo and the news items appear when you move the cursor across the screen. It is also possible to take a look behind the scenes. The site’s functionality is of great importance for Korzo. Special attention has been paid to a direct link to the ticket sales’ system, user friendliness, filter options, a practical layout and high visibility via search engines. The diary can be navigated from various angles: via date, company name or discipline. A link to the organisation’s twitter account is embedded on various pages, as is the option to integrate other social media platforms. Choreographers can, for instance, add their facebook pages to the site and thus directly connect with their target audience.
